AUDIO & VIDEO POLICY

Capture Recording Service

Selected Legacy Studios are equipped with our Capture Service (see our website for details). When using Capture:

Audio Recording:

  • All audio routed through microphones connected to the mixer will be recorded, including speech and vocals.

  • Recordings are stored securely but automatically deleted after no more than 60 days.

  • Users must download and store their recordings on their own devices before leaving the studio. Legacy Studios accepts no responsibility for recordings lost due to incomplete transfers.

Metadata:

  • A minimal set of metadata (non-personal) is retained for reporting purposes. No personally identifiable information is attached to this metadata.

Video Recording:

  • Any video captured via the Capture app remains on the user’s device only. Legacy Studios does not transmit, access, or store video recordings.

  • Users are solely responsible for managing and storing video recordings on their devices.

Consent to Recording

  • The booking customer is responsible for informing all guests that audio recording is taking place.

  • In jurisdictions where two-party consent is required, the customer must obtain necessary permissions.

  • By using the Capture Service, the customer indemnifies Legacy Studios against any claims, complaints, or lawsuits arising from alleged violations of wiretapping, eavesdropping, or privacy laws connected to session recordings.

Data Retention

  • Audio recordings: securely held for a maximum of 60 days unless downloaded sooner.

  • Metadata: retained without personal identifiers for reporting only.

  • Video: never stored by Legacy Studios.

Changes to this Notice

This Notice may be updated periodically. Updates will be posted on our website, and we encourage you to review it regularly.
