IT ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

This Policy covers the acceptable use of the Legacy Studios Guest Wireless Network facilities and services.

 

Legacy Studios welcomes visitors to our offices and studios, and use of the Guest Wireless Network is permitted subject to compliance with:

• This Policy,

• Legacy’s IT Acceptable Use Policy,

• Any applicable Acceptable Use policies of other networks or services accessed, and

• All applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

General Compliance

Any individual connected to the Guest Wireless Network, whether using it directly or as a gateway to any other network(s), must comply with this Policy, the Acceptable Use policies of any other network(s) or host(s) accessed, and all relevant laws and regulations.

Disclaimer of Liability

Legacy Studios makes no representations or warranties about the availability, reliability, or security of the Guest Wireless Network. All use is provided strictly on an “as-is” basis.

By using the Guest Wireless Network you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Legacy Studios against any losses, damages, liabilities, or claims that may arise from your use of the Guest Wireless Network.

Legacy Studios accepts no responsibility and assumes no liability for:

​

• Any content uploaded, shared, transmitted, or downloaded by you or others,

• Anything you may encounter while connected, or

• Any data lost, intercepted, or compromised during your use of the Guest Wireless Network.

Monitoring & Disconnection

​

Legacy Studios reserves the right to disconnect any user at any time and for any reason. Access to the Guest Wireless Network is provided as a courtesy to customers and visitors. Users will not be granted access to Legacy Studios’ confidential or restricted data.

Legacy Studios also reserves the right, where legally required or contractually necessary, to inspect, monitor, or intercept network traffic and to disclose such data to third parties (e.g. law enforcement).

Inappropriate Use

​

Inappropriate use of the Guest Wireless Network is strictly prohibited. The following are non-exhaustive examples of prohibited behaviour:

​

1. Failing to respect the privacy or intellectual property rights of others.

2. Interfering with the integrity of Legacy’s network or any other computing/network system.

3. Using the Guest Wireless Network for malicious, fraudulent, or misrepresentative purposes.

4. Using the network in a way that precludes, degrades, or interferes with other users’ access.

5. Installing, transmitting, or using anything that modifies, disrupts, or interferes with services, users, hosts, or networks.
